Day 01: Arrival and Reception:-Bagdogra to Lava 105kms in 4hrs

Now we drive to Lava through NH31A. We leave Bagdogra and the landscape changes dramatically as the road runs through the dense forests of Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary, the natural play ground of wild elephant, tiger and deer. We reach Sevok just at the base of the hills. See the gorgeous view of Tista River as it comes out from the deep gorge of the Himalayas and spreads its arms in the vast plains on North Bengal. Now the journey follows the winding roads along the meandering emerald green River Tista. From Chitrey the road takes right upward turn to Kalimpong as we continue our journey through misty pine forest to Lava.

Day 02: Lava

Today after breakfast we take you for a day excursion to Lava - a small hamlet at 7000ft (2100M) and an off beat destination known for its breathtaking natural beauty. The Lush green virgin forest is a famous place for the bird watchers. Lava is also known for its proximity to Neora Valley National Park - one of the least explored high altitude nature reserves in the East Himalayas. The Sherpa view Point gives an excellent view of snow capped mountains of Bhutan and Tibet. The refreshing journey through the misty forests of Pine and firs is also a memorable experience. The 2 kms rough jeepable road to the view point is surrounded by dense forests and gives an extraordinary view of the mountains. A ruin of an old bungalow at the top is now a shelter of the wild animals. Back to hotel by the Evening and have a free leisure evening.

Day 03:  Lava to Lolegaon

Early morning with pack breakfast Check-out for Lolegaon. 7kms travel by car up to Guba Dara after Walk dawn up to Budhubare, Make a small break for refreshment and proceed to Lolegaon by car. An important offbeat destination in Kalimpong hills. It is a small Lepcha village situated at an altitude of 1850M in the midst of undulating slopes adorned with towering Dhupi and Cypress trees. Loleygaon is the place of ethereal wilderness. Glittering Kunchendzonga at dawn or sensational sunrise and sunset from Jhandidara will leave you spellbound. A visit to the Heritage Forest of Lolaygaon is a must to get a feel of the exquisite wealth nature has showered here. The unique 'Canopy Walk' over the century old mossy Oak and Cypress in the Heritage Forest is a thrilling experience. We spend our day at the serene environment of Loleygaon and then return to Lava in the afternoon.

Suggested activity: Meet the local people and stroll around the typical village people of Tibetan origin.

Day 04: Lava to Lataguri via Gorubathan, 90kms in 3.5hrs

This morning we leave from Lolegaon and drive to Lataguri. The journey rolls down the Valley of Chel River and offers excellent view of the distant plains and hills. We hit the plains at Gorubathan a scenic village surrounded by forests and tea gardens. Now we drive through the vast plains of Dooars - a sea of greenery and freshness. We come to Chulsa an important road junction in central Dooars and take the right turn from here and drive to Lataguri through Gorumara Forests.

ALataguri used to be an important timber trading center in Dooars but now it is a very popular tourist destination for its proximity to Gorumara National park. Lataguri is the best place to explore the entire National park, which is having a very good population of one horned rhino, leopard, elephant and bison.

Day 05: Gorumara Jungle Safari 20kms in 1hr (one way)

We would take you to an exclusive car safari to Gorumara National Park from Lataguri. The journey passes through the deep forests of Gorumara - the natural habitat for Rhinoceros, Elephants, Leopard, bison and many other species of birds and reptiles. Watch out a leopard licking its paw leisurely on the tree brunch or a heard of spotted deer suddenly disappeared into the thick forests at the sound of your vehicle. Now we take you to Rhino point - a Watch Tower in the core area of the national park. From here you can get a vast panoramic view of the Gorumara grassland. There is a salt pit just at the base of the tower, where the animals regularly come to taste the salt. We also take you to the Jatraprasad Watch tower few kilometers further to Rhino Point. The forest here is deeper and the watch tower provides an excellent view of the Grassland with the Murti and Jaldhaka River flowing through it. This is an ideal place for seeing the wild elephant and Indian bison. After a thrilling excitement we come back to Resort. After breakfast visit Suntale Khola, and Rocky Island back to hotel, after lunch visit Chapramari Jungle safari by exclusive car for you, evening on the way back visit Tribal Dance. Back to hotel , over night stay at hotel in Lataguri.

After Lunch roam around the little village on the bank of Lachung river - one of the sources of Tista, and enjoy the beauty of nature that surrounds you. Also visit to the small Monastery at Lachung.

Day 06: Lataguri to Jaldapara- 80kms in 2hrs

Today after breakfast we Check-out for Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary. We drive through Murti a fascinating picnic spot on the bank of a Murti River guarded by high Sal and mixed riverine forest on one side. Spend some quite hours on the river beds and enjoy the silence of nature. Enjoy the landscape and taking photographs. After noon arrived at Jaldapara, check-in to forest Resort, evening free for personal activity.

Day 07: Jaldapara

Today early morning we take you to an exciting elephant ride deep into the grassland of Jaldapara. Watching the rhinos and other animals from the elephant is an unforgettable experience. Ride through the high grasses and deep forests and see the majestic animals roam freely in their natural habitat. After a memorable ride we return to the Rest house and have breakfast. Today morning after breakfast we would take you to Totopara on the Bhutan border. Totopara is the only place where the primitive tribe Toto is struggling to survive with a few number of population. The road to Totopara is rough and bumpy and it crosses several streams before reaching the village. Roam around the village and observe the lifestyle of Totos and their ancestral houses. Although the Totos are now coming to the modern cities and their lifestyle has changed according to the ages but their traditional rituals and practices remains almost same. We now return to our rest house for Lunch. After Lunch we go for an excursion to Chilapata Forest located about 20 km from Alipurduar in Jalpaiguri District on the bank of River Torsha. Main attraction is the archeological fort of Nal King which is a thousand years old. Built in the Gupta period, the fort is now in ruins. Chilapata is also famous for wild elephants and bison. Back to jaldapara and Over Night stay.

Day 08: Jaldapara to Buxa

Today after breakfast we check out from Hotel and drive to Buxa - another important National Park and a Tiger Reserve on the Bhutan Border. The journey runs through the heart of Dooars and provides a refreshing view of the lush green tea gardens and forests criss-crossed by innumerable streams coming down from the Bhutan Mountains. Take refreshing break near any of the streams to take photographs and proceed to Rajabhatkhawa. Check in to Rajabhatkhawa govt. lodge. Evening walk around local bazar. Over night stay at lodge.

Day 09: Rajabhatkhawa

After breakfast We take you to Jayanty through the core of Buxa forest. Rich with diverse eco system Jayanti is also a scenic location on the bank of Jayanty River. Drive through the thick wall of forests where the sun light can hardly reach. You have ample time to watch the heard of spotted deer, elephants, bison in their natural habitat. There is a nicely located Bungalow on the bank of river from where you can have a long view of the Jayanty River coming down from the hills on Bhutan. Back to Rajabhatkhawa and stay over night.

Day 10: Buxa to Siliguri

Today after breakfast we leave Rajabhatkhawa and drive back to Siliguri. On arrival check-in to hotel. Evening free for personal activity.

Day 11: Departure from Siliguri to Bagdogra, 12kms in 0.45hrs

We check out from Hotel after breakfast. Today your tour with Techono Emerge tours concludes with your transfer to Bagdogra Airport. We help you to board your flight back home. Farewell and tour ends.
